Le Clos aux Roses

We turned up a little late and needed some help with the menu, and the host was so caring and helpful. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. A real hidden gem. If I travel through this area again, I'll definitely stop by.

As Australians, we really appreciated the staff's expert advice on pairing wine with French food. We couldn't fault the meal, the wine, or the service, and we're so glad we chose to eat here while staying in the charming village of Chedigny. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was nice, but my room (#1) had no usable wifi, and I missed my deadline after giving up on the weak signal while trying to send an important email. The manager could connect, but the connection in my room was too poor. I know the walls are thick and we're in the country, but if the chambre d'hôtes promises wifi, it needs to work reliably. The room itself was very large but rather bare: no pictures or desk, bare floorboards, and a huge TV that dominated the space. When I raised my complaints, the manager accused me of insulting him and dismissed them. A shrug isn't good customer service. The place already has a good reputation for its food, but needs to do better with its rooms.

We loved every minute of our experience in this beautiful village in the Touraine Sud. The photos of our three dishes say it all. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service, 10/10!
