We were there on 26th May 2024. The owner's dog was running loose and went after our dog. Even after we asked the owner to tether him, the same thing happened the next morning. My partner was walking our dog on a lead and tried to shield her, then grabbed at the other dog to keep it away. It dragged him onto the gravel path, badly cutting his right arm. His knuckles were torn and bleeding heavily, and the scars took several weeks to heal. The owner did apologize, but this place is NOT dog friendly.

It's a cute place, and imagining how the peasants lived can make it really interesting. This 15th century farm later became a fort, and it's still being renovated after more than 20 years of work by the owners. It feels pretty run down.

Set in a very rustic village, this beautiful castle has a lot of history. A wonderful spot to spend a weekend.

The breakfast was really nice, served by the fire in a 300 year old room. Spending the night there felt like staying in a medieval museum. Amazing place.
