The owner took us on a tour of the castle, which helped us understand the local history better. We shared the castle with four other families, and it felt homely. The kids loved the big green field and feeding ducks at the lake. The ducks even waddled after them, so cute. By 5 pm they were playing and walking with the sheep. We went horse riding every morning, then visited a medieval theme park, a local beach, and a very historic castle town. Afterward, we'd sit outside with local wine and dinner, chatting until noon, with stars in the sky.

It feels like stepping back in time in an authentic 19th-century chateau that's been kept in perfect condition. Absolutely magical.

A really awesome place for a one-of-a-kind break.

There’s a huge park around this superb castle, a heritage site with a rich history that’s been preserved remarkably well. It opens to visitors during Heritage Days, and I highly recommend going, especially with the very friendly guides. It’s a shame visitors can’t access the upper floors, since the family lives there.

Mrs. LeBrun made a strong impression on me. I learned she was kind-hearted and incredibly generous to the people of La Jumelière and to her employees at the time. The château is well worth a detour, with superb marble fireplaces and a magnificent park. A wonderful place to visit, and I highly recommend it.
