The owners were so pleasant and happy to help with information or ideas for what to do. The house has everything a family or group needs, plenty of room for equipment, and even electric car charging for an extra cost. It’s surrounded by mountains and nature, with a peaceful feel, and close to the grotto and cafe. There are suggestions for things to do in the house too. If I get the chance to visit Vercors again, I’ll stay here.

We were planning to use the cottage as a base for walking and cycling around Vercors, since the location and facilities seemed excellent. We had to cancel at the last minute because of an illness in the family, but the owners responded so quickly and kindly that it gave us another reason to feel we’d chosen well. We’re really looking forward to staying there as soon as we can. This is based on our research into the area and accommodation, and our contact with the owners.

We spent a lovely family holiday with friends in a gîte that was comfortable and made us feel at home. The owner is well worth talking to: he’ll happily share his knowledge of stars and nebulae, along with favorite restaurants and scenic places nearby. The sunny terrace was a perfect spot for coffee and the clear blue sky, with a view of the waterfall. The location is great too, between the Choranche cave (5*) and the Bourne gorges, with stunning hikes nearby, including the Gournier waterfall (5*). We’ll be back! 😃

We had a fantastic weekend in the Vercors. The gîte was cozy, well located, and came with a really warm welcome. It’s a beautiful region, and we’re looking forward to coming back.

We only wished we’d booked a full week, because we had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with the beautiful Choranche caves nearby and Cabana Café just across from the gîte, a great place for lunch or a fun evening. The hosts made us feel so welcome. It’s a dream house with an incredible view over Vercors, and the best, most beautiful gîte in France I’ve had the chance to stay in. I can’t wait to return!
