Birdsong all around, comfy beds, and a friendly host. A nice place to stay, and the host also sells épices.

Cosy and welcoming, with a log burner and owners who are friendly and full of useful information. It feels like a home away from home, and dogs are welcome. There are plenty of local walks for dogs.

The owners are very charming, and the surrounding nature is magnificent. Waking to birdsong in such a quiet place, where time seems to slow down, made it easy to recharge. Very, very inspiring. I highly recommend it if you’re looking to recharge.

The gîte is only 30 minutes from Limoges, with hiking and mountain biking trails through an area full of history. It’s a lovely place to recharge if you love nature. This is an LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) refuge that protects biodiversity. We ate our evening meal on the terrace and could hear owls nesting in the woodshed attic beside the main house, then a male hooting and a tawny owl nearby. Flying insects and pollinators were constantly on the move, including pipistrelle bats, and a spring providing drinking water flowed just 25 meters from the house. What an idyllic setting. I highly recommend it.
