Le Moulin Rouge de Clairmarais "Le Heron"

We stayed here as a family, a couple with one child, for four nights. Philippe gave us a particularly lovely welcome, and before the trip the owner was easy to communicate with and made all the instructions clear. The setting is ideal and so quiet. We slept like babies every night and felt right at home in this fabulous gîte. The accommodation was spotless, the beds were perfect, and the kitchen had everything, even more than I have at home. I never expected sleeping in the marshes to be this restful! The place feels just like Pas de Calais: warm, welcoming, and endearing.

We had such a relaxing family holiday here, and everything felt just right. We rented the ground floor, which was beautiful, modern, new, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The setting is magnificent, very quiet, and clean. The quality bedding helped us sleep without hearing a thing, and being far from the road made it feel like a real change of scenery. We had a wonderful time and ended up forgetting about the place we had planned to explore during our stay. You can also rent a boat, which was a great activity even with the children.
