B&B HOTEL Clermont-Ferrand A71/A75 La Méridienne

The rooftop bar has stunning views and serves great food. If you like craft ales, you'll be happy there. The restaurant was closed, though breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. I stayed while travelling to northern Spain and couldn't have picked a better location. It's close to the motorways, in the foothills of the Massif Central. The rooms were well kept, and the bathroom facilities were decent.

The website photos are the one thing this place has going for it. Our rooms were filthy and broken, there were bad smells, and plumbing repairs were needed. Breakfast was poor, and even finding clean dishes was difficult. The restaurant was advertised as open but was closed. If you stay after reading this, that's on you.

This place has real character and doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter hotel. It's very dog and EV friendly, and the staff have been helpful and welcoming. We've stayed twice already and would come back. Happy to recommend it.

We brought our dog, and it was welcomed everywhere. The hotel stood out for its friendly greeting, lovely decor, and comfortable restaurant for breakfast. We stopped here to break up a long drive south. As usual, the stay was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. These hotels are good value, and we use them when leaving France early or arriving late.
