The setting was lovely and felt homely, and the pool was a nice extra. In our case the price was very modest. But the rooms weren't very comfortable, and the service especially fell short. The hostess seemed surly and gave us only a rushed explanation when we arrived. After that she was impossible to reach. We had an important practical question that we hadn't managed to ask during our only face-to-face contact. We tried by phone and text, but got no reply from the first day until we wrote this review, even though we stayed for a week. She made no attempt to return our calls or answer our messages. The amenities in the house were limited as well. There was no washing machine in our cottage, yet the hostess never offered or provided cleaning or fresh linens and towels. That's why we can only give it 3 out of 5 stars. If half stars had been possible, our effort would have been a half-hearted 2.5. Just barely.

We felt like we were on holiday straight away, even with a few hours' drive still ahead to our destination. The family room was beautiful, as were the garden and pool, and the hostess was super friendly. We had a wonderful time. Breakfast in the charming garden was delicious, with local products. In the evening we followed the hostess's tip and visited a lovely nearby village, where the food was delicious too. Highly recommended as a stop on the way to Spain.

The outdoor spaces were beautiful, with lovely spots for breakfast, a nap, or time by the pool. Inside, the rooms were very practical for couples or families, had all the comfort we needed, and were so quiet and restful. This guesthouse is tucked into a gorgeous garden and has so much charm. Annick, the owner, gave every space a warm, natural feel and welcomed us wonderfully. Thanks again for a lovely weekend. We'd be delighted to come back.

A great spot for an overnight stop heading south from the Netherlands. The rooms were very nice, and there’s a lovely pool. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the nearby village is a great place to have dinner. We’ll definitely be back!
