Auberge du Parc

The staff and management are still so welcoming and helpful. When two of us used our own cutlery, they even offered to wash it between courses. I first came here as a truck driver, back when you could still drive through Coex before the bypass was built. I recently returned with a group that included people with reduced mobility and enjoyed it just as much. There's still an excellent choice of dishes, along with appetizer and dessert buffets. Access is easy, with a car park right next door.

We really enjoyed the food, including the chance to try typical Vendée dishes, and the hotel staff made us feel welcome. The rooms were perfect and very clean. I'd happily return on another trip, and I recommend the Auberge du Parc.

Dinner was very generous, and breakfast was too. We stayed and ate at Maria's, where we were warmly received. Many thanks to Maria and her team. If you're passing through Coex, stop at the Auberge du Parc.

We had lunch and found the welcome warm, the food simple and good, and the prices good value. A pity that day's meats weren't French, though the sign was accurate: they came from Germany and Ireland.
