Logis Hotel Relais Saint Jacques

There’s no restaurant open on Sundays, which was the downside. But Zaf at reception was always friendly and helpful, going out of his way to answer our questions. His service made our stay more pleasant.

We had hoped to take a comfortable break at the Relais Saint-Jacques while charging our Tesla at the Supercharger, with a quick coffee and sandwich. The setting is charming, but one waiter made us feel unwelcome. We got condescending looks and indifference from the moment we came in, and it seemed he disapproved of us wanting only a coffee and sandwich, as though we didn’t belong or weren’t entitled to those amenities. It was upsetting to be treated that way when we were just stopping for a simple meal. Every guest should be met with courtesy and respect, whatever the reason for their visit, and this was far from the service we expected at a reputable place. The waiter’s attitude overshadowed our short visit. I hope this feedback reminds the establishment to treat all patrons respectfully.

The elderly waiter who spoke English was excellent, polite, and handled my dietary requirements extremely well. I had one of the best chicken dishes I tried during my two weeks in France. We had a really lovely quick lunch while our car charged. I hadn’t expected a restaurant with white tablecloths and such nice meals beside a supercharger. If only all restaurants by superchargers were like this.

We had a bit of trouble understanding the menu, but Google Translate helped us manage. The menu was good and the staff were clean. We ordered lemonade and got a freshly squeezed lemon with no water or sugar added. That was very honest 😂
