Les Calètes

The view and the setting outside are incredible, but the rest was disappointing. The chalets were quite dirty, with spiders, dead insects in the lamps, and dust. There weren’t enough kitchen utensils, and what was there wasn’t suitable for groups, which is strange for a chalet advertised for 14 people. The owner was unpleasant. She refused to do an inventory check, wanted to keep the security deposit checks, and kicked us out of the reception room at 11 pm on the first night, even though we’d rented it for two days. Not much else to say.

The nice surroundings and time with friends were pleasant, but I came home with bedbugs, which left a very bitter taste. The accommodations are dated and not very clean, and we even wondered whether the bathrooms met safety standards. That’s why I’m giving one star.

We rented 42 beds so our guests could stay on site, and everyone was charmed by the place. I was able to celebrate my 40th birthday there over three days. The hall and kitchen are practical, and the owner is very friendly and does all she can to make the stay pleasant. I’d highly recommend it for birthdays, weddings, and similar events.

What a shame, because the location is beautiful, quiet, and has a lovely view. The chalet is poorly maintained, the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired, and the appliances didn’t work properly. The bedding was uncomfortable and questionable.
