Hôtel des Templiers

Great location in Collioure, with parking nearby. There's a priceless art exhibit in the bar, and you can take the lift or stairs to the rooms. Breakfast was excellent.

We just had the menu de jour. The pork cheeks were a real treat, and the location is great.

I've never left a bad restaurant review before, but I'm writing this to spare other tourists a poor experience. The kids' food arrived after about 10 minutes. My wife's and mine came an hour later, after people around us who had arrived later had already been served. We said we wanted to leave, then our meals finally came five minutes later. The meat was very tough, the potatoes weren't prepared as we'd ordered, and the salad was wilted. They charged us the full amount, $110 for bad food and service. We paid because we felt too embarrassed to argue. The place has history and the drinks are decent, but don't spend your money on the food. Have a drink, look at the pictures, then eat somewhere else.

I came in to see the paintings Rick Stein had mentioned. We visit Collioure regularly, but had always passed this place by because it sits on the tourist strip. The staff made a good Frappe, though they seemed moody and arrogant, even at the start of the season. I probably wouldn’t eat here.
