Hotel restaurant des Maures

We stopped for one night during a road trip and would happily recommend the hotel. It seems to double as the village bar, and the restaurant was excellent. The hearty local dishes on the half-board menu were served with style, and it was one of the best meals we’d had in a while, especially for the price. It felt like a nice local family business, a welcome change from big chain hotels. Check-in and service were friendly, and our family room was comfortable and spacious.

We had a very good one-night stay in a spacious second-floor room. It had a comfortable couch, a thoughtfully designed shower, and a cozy bed. The minibar had a good range of drinks and snacks that could be paid for at checkout. There was no complimentary water or tea, and no kettle, but a small supermarket right across from the hotel made it easy to get what we needed. At the restaurant we tried frog legs and wild boar stew. The frog legs were a lovely surprise, fried just right and served in a garlicky aglio olio sauce that I especially liked. The stew wasn’t for me, though my husband enjoyed it. Breakfast was sweet and French-style, and I liked that fruit was included.

We’d already enjoyed several special meals here, but last night’s Bouillabaisse was the one that stood out. You could see the care it took to prepare, and creating such a memorable dinner for eight was incredible. One of those meals you remember for a long time. Magnifique.

The evening meal was amazing, and the generous breakfast had seasonal fruit, pastries, yoghurt, and more. Every part of this hotel restaurant deserves five stars. We were so impressed that we plan to invite friends to come with us next time. The renovation was done with impeccable taste. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, with fabulous modern shower rooms. The air-conditioning was silent and very effective, which we really appreciated. All the staff were friendly and efficient, and nothing was too much trouble. It was an unforgettable experience, and likely would have cost much more elsewhere.
