Chateau du Baffy

The location was the one good thing, but getting to the hotel was extremely difficult. Inside, the rooms were cramped and awful. My mattress had cigarette burns, and there was a strange fermented sewage smell. The walls were so thin we could hear every other guest, and we were freezing because there was no insulation. There was hardly any drinking water, yet bugs were thriving and had infested our room. Unacceptable, chateau du buffy.

Chateau Baffy isn't luxurious, but the friendly, unpretentious atmosphere made the visit enjoyable. I liked sitting out front and getting to know other guests, and the staff were happy to stop and chat. It's set up for school groups, but other visitors can still make the most of the excellent location and welcoming atmosphere.

We stayed at Chateau Du Baffy for six nights in August. It's in a quiet village with lovely grounds, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The kids and grandparents had fun playing crazy golf while I cycled down to the coast. We also enjoyed sitting and paddling by the river beside the hotel. Breakfast had plenty to fill a hole. The rooms are basic, but had what I needed to sleep and freshen up. It was perfect for us, and I hope to visit again.

There were 20 wasps in my friend’s bed, and hornets in the room upstairs. The food was good.
