Chez Laurence du Tilly L'annexe

The heating made meals uncomfortable: the ground floor stayed cold with the electric heaters, while the wood stove made the room feel like a sauna. Breakfast was cold, and dinner was stifling. The heating was also poorly distributed. Animals seemed to be in the ground-floor false ceiling, where we repeatedly heard movement. We stayed at L’Annexe de Chez Laurence du Tilly from December 30 to January 4, and the condition of the property didn’t match its description. It seemed badly neglected. Cleanliness was unacceptable: dusty furniture, cobwebs around the windows, walls and TV, dirty windows and kitchen surfaces, grimy silicone around the kitchen worktop, a dirty oven, and dead insects inside every picture frame. There were maintenance and safety problems too. Some frames were broken, the kitchen tap was loose, and protruding nails in the wooden floor caused a foot injury. The shower was defective and leaked water to the lower floor. The advertised fresh bread in the morning wasn’t provided. The platform photos looked outdated, showing the place shortly after a renovation several years ago rather than its current condition. This was a major disappointment. I’d urge future guests to be very cautious before booking.
