Goélia Les Cottages du Lac

Really nice place, and the staff were helpful. The main downside is that you need a car, or you have to be willing to pay for a taxi to get food.

Great houses, facilities, and surrounding area.

We spent a week there in August, and the place didn’t live up to the photos, especially if you’re not staying by the lake. We like nature, but I still expect some upkeep when renting a place. The fishing spots were neglected, with broken docks and a tree in the water, and it was very poorly lit in the evening. There was also a long wait to get the key, while we stood outside in blazing sun during a heatwave. They could have handed it over inside, where there’s a large air-conditioned space. Our son left behind one of his rather expensive toys. I let the staff know right away so they could check before the next tenant got the key, and followed up several times. They didn’t seem to care, and probably never even looked. It has a lot of potential, but at that price I’d avoid it.

The cottages are really nice, and the setting is quiet, relaxing, and pleasant. The pool was clean, and there are free canoes on the lake. There wasn’t any entertainment, though, and the cottages could do with some updating.
