The old Roman road from Rennes to Carhaix crosses the courtyard, and the castle walls date back to the 15th or 16th century. It’s a private estate. The Manor of Le Mur, as it stands today, is from the 20th century. The Le Mur family held the former seigneury in the 15th century; Bernard du Mur, Lord of the manor, lived there in the early 18th century. By the late 19th century, it belonged to Anger de Kernisan.
