The rooms looked good, but the layout and comfort were a real letdown. In the first room, the “20m superior room,” half the space was bathroom, leaving nowhere to put our luggage or really move around. The receptionist said it was suitable for a wheelchair user, which is important, but with two of us and our bags there was no room for ourselves. We switched to the only room available, the deluxe. It was about the same size but without the dead space, and the toilet was right beside the bed, far from the sink. The bathroom door was just a curtain, and the lighting above the mirror made shaving impossible. Even the bed was uncomfortable for me. I don't think we should have paid full price for the “upgrade”: it was only something closer to what we'd booked, just not designed for wheelchair access, so why did it cost 16% more? Pretty in photos, but the design choices were poor. I'm glad we booked only two nights.

The staff were super nice, despite what some comments say, but I felt conned by the room and the price. I paid 300 euros a night for a superior room and got an attic room with a huge bathroom and an impossibly tiny living area. There was no room to move or unpack my luggage. I paid another 50 eros per night to upgrade to luxury, and the new room had just 4 more sqm, with what felt like a Band-Aid layout, including the toilet next to the bed. The bathroom wasn't cleaned by the cleaning lady, and the wifi was a joke. This hotel is nowhere near luxury. Are the people giving it five stars serious? Stay away!

We spent much of our time walking around the area, taking in the boats and the beach in this lovely little village. The location was perfect, and we never got tired of the scenery. Our room was very large and had its own terrace. We also enjoyed two different dinners, one at the gourmet restaurant and one at their sister restaurant on the harbor. Both were different in a good way. Breakfast was lovely, too. I only wish we'd had time to use the available bicycles. We loved this small, beautiful hotel and would be glad to return.

The service was always really nice, and our room felt open and comfortable with modern decor. Breakfast was delicious, especially with eggs alongside all the patisseries. And I had one of the best desserts of my life at the restaurant. We'd be happy to come back.

Our room was nice, but the receptionist in her +40's came across as arrogant. At times the way she spoke to us felt like she was talking to children, or using overly familiar slang. They knew we were celebrating, and a small welcoming gesture would have made the stay feel a little special. Dommage.
