We weren't staying at the hotel, just eating at the restaurant on 6 October 2019. The food was fair for the price, though the fixed menu had a lot more extras than you'd usually expect in France. What really put us off was the service. It felt impersonal, the waiter seemed disengaged, and nobody offered aperitifs. There was no atmosphere or sense that we were welcome. With only my wife and me, another couple, and one man dining alone, the waiter still had to ask who each course was for. We ate quickly, skipped wine for once, and left.

The restaurant menu was a little limited, but the dishes were beautifully prepared and presented. We also found the staff helpful, professional, and very good. The Château sits in a lovely, picturesque setting. A wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay, and the staff were happy to accommodate any requests we had. The rooms were nice, though the TV could do with more international channels. Easter lunch was fantastic, and it's a very nice place.

The castle looks stunning, but the room was unbearably hot, like a pizza oven. They left us with a very noisy fan that kept us awake, and I had the worst night's sleep. The rooms feel outdated, with bathrooms from the 70s. There was no fridge, and the tiny bottle of water left for two of us wasn't enough for the night. I'd avoid it, especially in summer.

The setting was fabulous, the food amazing, and the service excellent. It was good value too, everything you'd hope for from a typically French château experience. A simple WOW! We'll definitely be back, and maybe stay next time as well.
