10/10
The easy walk around the lake is a lovely bonus, and the local wines were pretty good too. Dinner was fabulous, original and full of flavour. M le patron says cooking is his passion, and it shows. The cheese board was a particular treat, with generous chunks of local cheese shared with the other diners. The exterior looks rather drab, but inside the rooms overlooking the lake are well appointed and seem to have been upgraded fairly recently. M le patron is a busy man.

We didn’t know the region or this place, so it turned out to be a very good surprise. The setting is fantastic, the rooms are impeccable, and the staff, service, and restaurant were all excellent.

A lovely view over a small lake, and the food is tasty. The menu feels a little more refined than what you’d get at a standard restaurant, while still drawing on local products and tradition.
