We ended up visiting the vineyard after trying Chateau l'Horte wine, and bought some to take home. The meals were delicious, just as we'd expected, and the room was pleasant and comfortable. Booking was easy, as was checking in for the Weekenda demi-pension. Couldn't fault it, and well worth stopping for.

The dishes felt really distinctive, and the ingredients worked beautifully together. We also felt very welcome. Since we're Asian, the staff member took time to explain the French dishes to us, and she was patient and friendly throughout. The setting was lovely too.

Booking ahead is a good idea. The chef is inventive and cooks with whatever's in season, using produce from the restaurant's own garden. It's not inexpensive, but I thought the meal made it well worth a visit.
