Métairie Montplaisir

Amélie is so welcoming that it feels like staying with a friend, not at a hotel. And the food she and her mother make is fantastic, so be sure to book dinner each day! She also suggests excursions and places to see, though staying in and relaxing at her place is just as enjoyable. My husband and I spent a week there, starting September 15, 2018, and loved it. The property is historic, with a small park and very old fig and olive trees. There’s also a well-kept swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers and reclining chairs. A real little gem.

“Exquisite” is the word for a stay at the Montplaisir farm. It brings to mind a time when speed wasn’t everything, and meeting people, sharing, and hospitality were at the heart of life. You come expecting something pleasant, but find a stay that’s warmer and more thoughtful than you imagined.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Amélie and her mother were lovely and made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely come back when the weather is nicer!

The food was simply superb, and the whole experience felt like pure luxury, calm, and pleasure. Amélie welcomed us so warmly and always had excellent advice. Thank you!
