Les Jardins de Valaurie

The location is so peaceful and relaxing, and the garden is lush and beautifully cared for. Our “Bignone” cottage was a clean, well-equipped little haven. The pool was lovely and inviting, and the whole property sits in a magnificent green setting. Our charming hosts were thoughtful without being intrusive. They left fresh water, wine, and fruit in the fridge, then welcomed us with a drink at the cottage. A thousand thanks to you both, Marianne and Bernard!

We felt transported to another world as soon as we reached our suite. It was like being in Bali, just an hour from home. The setting is idyllic, full of flowers and butterflies, with cicadas and so much peace and quiet. Marianne and Bernard are lovely people who gave us a perfect welcome, including a complimentary aperitif. I highly recommend it.

The property is wonderfully quiet, with a spacious, self-contained cottage that has everything you need and sits amid beautiful flowers. There’s also a large pool. Marianne and Bernard gave us such a warm welcome and took great care of us throughout our stay. The Gardon River is a kilometer away for a refreshing swim, and beautiful Cévennes hikes start right from the property. After a stay here, it’s hard to picture choosing somewhere else for a holiday!

We wanted peace, quiet, and a change of scenery, and found all of that at Marianne and Bernard's. The Bignogne suite and garden felt like a little haven in paradise, and the amenities were top-notch. Breakfast was very generous, even for someone like me with a sweet tooth. Marianne and Bernard were incredibly kind and attentive, among the best hosts we’ve ever had.
