The restaurant sharing the building is popular, and its pizza is good. The hotel itself is simple and clean, with cheerful, helpful reception staff. Five stars for value for money.

The staff's rudeness was the worst part. They didn't apologize when I questioned the sauce, just told me that's how they do things there. It felt degrading as a paying customer, and we won't return or recommend the restaurant to friends, family, or our neighbors here. After waiting a while to be served, I ordered a pizza Caesar. It came smothered in an orange, runny sauce that tasted like cocktail sauce and overwhelmed everything. It was also very rich and heavy. The sauce wasn't on the menu; when I pointed that out, the waitress said it was listed as 'tapenade'. But tapenade is made with olives, and this clearly wasn't that.

It was tricky to get a table outside for one, since I wanted to smoke and then have dinner. After I let the waitress know I was disappointed, she found me a spot in the backyard. I had a lovely time, with very good salads de chevre, a good pizza and wonderful ice cream, all at a reasonable price. I'm Dutch, and of course I left a good tip.

They were so helpful, keeping the restaurant open late at night for us. Fantastic service.
