La Ferme sous les Hiez

The rooms were great and the location was great too. When I arrived at La ferme, I found a nail in my motorcycle tyre and it was losing air. The hosts arranged for a local garage to fix the puncture. Wonderful people.

The host helped me sort out a small problem with my car, and without that I’d have needed a tow truck. I’d gladly return. We got a charming welcome, and our room had lovely country-style décor with a modern shower in the bathroom. There’s a cozy wood-burning stove in the shared living room, and two sweet dogs who obey their owners very well.

It was a pleasure to learn about mohair farming and head out hiking straight from the farm. There’s also a superb lake nearby, ideal for swimming. Florence and Daniel were so warm and kind, and the breakfast deserves a special mention for being both generous and delicious. The guest rooms are magnificent, in an exceptional setting. I highly recommend this peaceful, authentic spot surrounded by nature.

The "Les Bluets" room was beautiful, spacious, and had a lovely view, and the bed was very comfortable. The whole gîte felt cozy and was spotlessly clean, with all the amenities we needed, including a shared kitchen, common areas to relax, and board games. We loved our two nights at the farmhouse under the Hiez trees. Flo and Dan were incredibly welcoming and kind, and we had some wonderful conversations with them. Their life story and the values they uphold are truly admirable. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, made with local produce. An idyllic place if you love nature and animals.
