We had three lovely, relaxing days at Le Refuge. The location is fantastic, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and our room was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent. It’s easy to get to mountain walks from here, and Corte centre is a short drive away. The staff also helped with restaurant suggestions and reservations. Highly recommend it, and we’ll be back.

Heaven on earth, really. The river water is crystal clear and great for swimming, and the views are amazing. The staff, especially Jules, went out of their way to make us comfortable. I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely come back for longer.

We just stopped in for a drink, and it was well worth it. The ice creams and sorbets might not be the fanciest, but the incredible view and the steps down into the river make up for it. The photos say it all. If I’d known how beautiful Corte was, I’d have gladly stayed the night.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, this is about the restaurant. We both ordered the trout and shared a burrata salad, and both were perfect. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended!

The mountain river is right there, so you hear it over breakfast or dinner, and the views are stunning. This little place has comfort, nature, peace, lovely service, and healthy food. What more would you want for a holiday? We stayed a couple of nights and wished we could have stayed longer. It’s just minutes from historic Corte, with its shops and restaurants, but we liked the hotel food so much that we didn’t eat in town. The hotel is also ideally placed for walks. We took a six-hour hike to Lac de Melo and Lac de Capitello, climbing up to the mountain ridge, and there are plenty of other routes, from easy to hard. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back for a longer stay.
