Les Terrasses de Padoue

The owner made the stay for us. She went far beyond what you'd expect from an owner or staff member, doing whatever she could to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast was good, though the choice was limited. The hotel is older, with reception and breakfast up on the second floor, and the room was small, as you'd expect.

The rooms were clean, and ours had a great drying rack out on the balcony. For a meal, try the cafe at the museum in this small town. They close at 2:30, so get there by 2:15. The people were nice. Ms. De Castro was wonderful, whether sorting out a cab or telling us about the place and the whole Island. Her apple yogurt cake is really good too. Ask the staff for anything you need and they'll help. Stay here and you'll remember it.

We always add breakfast because the coffee is AMAZING, and the professional staff make us feel welcome every time. This charming old hotel is our regular base when we explore central Corsica. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the balcony rooms have nice views. There's plenty of parking in the lot beside the hotel, and you can easily walk into downtown Corté.

The rooms were poor and breakfast was just average. There's little to recommend it beyond having somewhere to sleep when you're tired. Even then, noise from the bar out back can be a problem.
