The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of homemade jam and fruit salad made from locally picked fruit. We loved this gorgeous, well furnished home and its mountain views. It's a quiet escape from Corte, which is about 20 minutes away, though there's no food in the village. We arrived a little early, so check your reservation: check-in is at 7 pm. If this is your first stop in Corsica, the road from Corte might seem narrow, but traffic is light and the roads are much better than most of the island's D roads. Finding the hotel entrance is tricky. Park in the village square, go through the green gate on the right, and look for the small blue sign about 3m up on a house. The first door leads to the kitchen, while the door on the terrace leads to the main room.

Dominique and Patrick were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Their peaceful “eagle's nest,” with its exceptional scenery far from the noise of the world, made for a truly memorable stay. Come here to recharge.

There are six rooms in this privately run guesthouse, but the small village has no shop, bar, or restaurant. The mountain views are lovely, though the place is very remote, about 15 km from Corte. If booked in advance, dinner is available on site for €20, and it was delicious.

The meal we had at the kitchen table was a real highlight: traditional Corsican soup, and unforgettable. Dominique and Patrick were both so welcoming and attentive. The location is fantastic. Highly recommended.
