Camping Moulin de Collonge

The staff were friendly and kept the facilities clean. Some are indoors and some outside, though in summer that didn't bother us. The pitches are a good size, with a choice of sun or shade. It's a peaceful spot in the countryside, close to the voie verte for easy walks or bike rides.

This place is a joke. I tried to get a table an hour and a half before closing and was told I was too late. They don't take new customers after 20.00, not even for takeaway pizza. I explained that I was staying at the campsite and there was nowhere else nearby, but they simply didn't care.

The campsite has a lovely pool, and the staff were helpful and fluent in English. But the hedges between pitches badly need trimming, and in July, high season, they shrink the pitches to about 70 sq. m. The fishing lake is out in the wilderness and covered with green slime. The site needs much more maintenance than it's getting. At 26 euros a night, it isn't good value.

A relaxed, attractive rural site, with pitches among the trees. The facilities are decent, and there's a great pizza restaurant on site.
