Gîte du Bois Brillant

We had a really pleasant, relaxing week and would gladly recommend the place. Parking was easy, and the terrace at the back had garden furniture, parasols, and a magnificent view. There were no nearby neighbors or traffic, so it was very quiet. The apartment is in a hamlet close to Couffé and is just right for two, with plenty of equipment. Our host was thoughtful and professional. She left a detailed binder with all the information we needed for a pleasant stay. There was also a large bin for taking out the bags, though we moved it a little farther away because it smelled unpleasant. The kitchenette is small, with an oven, two induction hobs, microwave, fairly spacious fridge, small freezer, Senseo coffee machine with two pods, and dishwasher with two tablets. There’s a small dining area and basic cooking utensils. Cleaning products and cloths were provided in a box, along with a vacuum cleaner and mop. We also had a clothes drying rack, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom is small but well laid out. Watch out when closing the shower door, since water can get under the seals and splash everywhere. Towels and a hairdryer were supplied. The bed was quite comfortable, and linens were provided. There’s a small storage area with a wardrobe and travel cot, plus a TV and sofa. And in very hot weather, the air conditioning is a real treat!

The setting is lovely, and the little house is very clean, spacious, and well equipped. There’s a small outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the bucolic surroundings when the sun comes out.

The hostess was very friendly, and the views were unobstructed. Everything was new, including the lovingly landscaped garden and terrace. It’s a very quiet spot, away from the city bustle.

Thanks to the excellent service and all the equipment provided, I had a wonderful stay. The welcome was excellent, the staff helpful, and they offer some very interesting services.
