Disney Hotel Santa Fe Hotel

The hotel's free coffee machine was a hit with my boyfriend, and the hot chocolate from it was amazing. Staff were helpful, the rooms matched the hotel theme, and I absolutely loved the place. I had one of my most magical stays here. Walking back from the park was easy and took around 20 minutes.

The only problem we had was the shower, which kept switching from scalding hot to cold. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable, though a few more pillows would have helped. The rooms were clean, and my son loved the "Cars" theme. He kept the branded toiletries and postcard. We ate breakfast every morning at the Cantina buffet and had dinner there once. The food was pretty good. There's a children's play area with games and colouring, plus a "Cars" style truck to keep kids busy while you eat. The Disney shop and Starbucks on site are handy, and there's a snack vending machine too. Staff were friendly and there were plenty of them. We met Pluto in the lobby one morning and saw Goofy the next day. It's a two-star hotel, but better than we expected. The walk by the canal to the park takes about 15 minutes, or the free shuttle is quick and frequent. I'd recommend it as an affordable option by Disney standards.

The location was close, with a good walk to get there, and I didn't have any other real issues. The "Cars" theme is very strong, as you'd expect. But the rooms were really dirty on the first day: I found several long hairs in the bathroom and a stained towel. Outside, there was no playground for kids, and the buffet's play area was just screens.

The breakfast was solid, with a good spread from cereals and pastries to bacon and other hot food, so everyone could find something. The rooms were spacious for a family, clean and comfortable, just what we wanted after a long day walking around the parks. The location is the big advantage, about a 10-minute walk from Disneyland, so early starts and late nights were easy. It also sits beside what must be the world's smallest volcano 🤣, a random little landmark that's hard to forget. Good value and an easy base for Disney. We'd happily stay again.
