Hôtel Les Flocons

The ski room was really convenient, and the nearest chairlift was only a one-minute walk from the hotel. The location was perfect. Parking for ten nights cost us 130 euros, which felt very fair. We’d absolutely recommend the place and would come back, probably next year. We stayed as a couple and had a wonderful time at this family-run hotel. The staff were all exceptionally pleasant and helpful, and went out of their way for us. Breakfast was a good, standard hotel breakfast, so I’m not sure what the negative reviews are about. After reading those reviews, I’ve come to think some people just like to complain.

My girlfriend tore her ACL while we were there, and both owners were very sympathetic and helpful. The room was good for the price, and the location was brilliant. We stayed for a week at this family-run hotel, and I think the low reviews are pretty unfair. The service wasn’t what you’d expect from a five-star place, for example, we waited 20 minutes to check in, but it seemed perfectly normal for a three-star hotel. The place had character.

This is only a restaurant rating. The wild cod was nice, though 34 euros felt a bit high. The udon with vegetables cost 30 euros and was fine, but the noodles were too soft. The 500 ml OMG beer was 11 euros, and there was no menu to check the price.

The food was superb, the service was great, and the rooms were clean and looked newly refurbished. The views were great, too. We were a rather rowdy group, but the family running the hotel were patient with us and very focused on their guests. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The location is A1, right at the bottom of a well-connected chairlift. I’d definitely stay here again.
