Camping Le Sorlut

We spent 10 days here in July. It’s an urban site with no view, though the sunsets each evening are amazing. The large, new Super U is only a few steps away, and the coast and popular tourist spots are easy to reach. Pitches are roomy, with a choice of shade or sun, and the welcome was warm. The pool next door is fantastic and accessible from the campsite, and the table tennis was great too. Facilities were clean and practical, with very hot water when needed, better than at other sites we’ve stayed at. It felt expensive for a two-star site, but the location is handy.

The big store just outside the campsite has everything you could want. I’ve been here for two weeks and it’s been a good stay. The sanitary facilities are clean, there’s plenty to keep children entertained, and the pool is nice for cooling off in the heat.

The owners are very friendly, and the toilets and showers get cleaned often. The warm water sometimes runs out, though. The pitches are an okay size, but without hedges or other dividers the campsite feels crowded.

We arrived on a Monday and didn’t realize the roughly five restaurants in the nearby town were all closed that day. Luckily, there was a great rotisserie at the campsite. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome, and the kids enjoyed the little football pitch. It’s a great small campsite.
