Chambres d'hôtes Moulin du David

We spent two great days relaxing with Christine and Richard, who looked after us so well. Christine has made a stunning place here. The old water mill has a dining room and bar downstairs, with two en suite rooms above. There's also a detached two-bedroom gite with its own garden and river frontage, while Christine's home sits nearby, all among the woodland. Breakfast was served every day, either full English or continental. Evening meals were available on request, and there was Fish’n Chip Friday, sometimes with a special guest appearance. We fished from the jetty and laughed a lot. It was our last stop on the way home, and we had the best time. We'll come back next time we're in France. Highly recommended.

We stayed in their gîte with our two small kids, and the rooms were lovely. It's a fantastic spot with a terrific atmosphere, and outside there's a great place to have a barbecue. The children could safely visit 'Chicken Island' in the river. We also went swimming in the river a few times, using the steps down from the patio. Lovely! Can't rate Christine and Richard's place highly enough.

A wonderful place to slow down and relax. We loved the rustic, romantic feel and all the beautiful nature around us. The host was a pleasure to be around, really personable and funny. The food was excellent too. We loved our stay!

Chris makes the stay feel special with her warmth. When we arrived she offered us beer and wine, and took time to chat about our epic bike trip from St Malo to Nice. We were on day two of the ride. She has a great way of being laid-back while still keeping things organised. The gites and old watermill make for a beautifully stylish stay, with first-class accommodation as well as a lovely host.
