Hotel Le Castel Ac'h

After a long drive, we arrived in Lilia to a hotel in a great spot, with a beautiful beach view and an amazing restaurant right next door. The owner was kind and helpful. The staff, though, didn't seem well trained and couldn't give us proper information about the hotel. The next day we were woken twice while trying to sleep in, because the front desk hadn't passed on the information about our stay extension. Some of the staff seemed to have no hospitality experience. Worst of all, the owner didn't seem interested in hearing how our stay had gone :(

The room was lovely and spotless, and we were very happy with the view, breakfast, and cleaning during our two-night stay. The hotel has a lot of potential, but the customer experience needs more attention. We tried the restaurant on our first night. Getting a table was complicated even as hotel guests, though they eventually found one. The food was pretty good, but I expected more from the experience. The service didn't meet the standard of a restaurant mentioned in the Michelin guide. Our aperitif plate arrived before the wine, which took 15 minutes. At dinner, we waited 15 minutes for water and had to ask again. I'm giving it 4/5 because of how much we liked the room and the rest of the stay. The restaurant has potential, but service needs to improve. I hope to come back.

A delightful lunch, with a thoughtfully put together menu and good service. We'll definitely be back.

Great views, a pool, and friendly staff, all at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for in a fantastic hotel?!
