Hotel Restaurant Le Lingousto

The food really was delicious, but the service let the meal down. We'd heard great things about this restaurant, and my in-laws had enjoyed a previous visit, so my parents, in-laws, and I were really looking forward to it. We paid 400 euros for six, without appetizers and with just a few desserts, for context. Our drinks never arrived, and we had to ask twice about one of the aperitifs while the others waited. The meal also came out in stages: after half the dishes arrived, we waited five minutes and decided to start while the rest of us held off. The remaining plates came 25 minutes later, and the order had been wrong to begin with. It was disappointing not to be able to eat together. They don't bring the bill to the table, which is an elegant touch, but we still wanted to know the total. The bill we got was missing some dishes and showed one price; when we asked again for the bill that day, the amount was different. That poor tech experience left me worried for other customers. The staff seemed annoyed with us overall, both the English-speaking and French-speaking side. I understand the language issue, but they still seemed disappointed when we asked more questions about the wine.

The restaurant has a romantic terrace, and you can even dine on a little bridge over the stream beside the hotel. There's one menu with two choices for each dish. The food and wine were excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good, and the staff were flexible when I needed to eat before the listed time because I had an early start. Everyone I met was super friendly and went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. I stayed in the new part of Le Mas du Lingousto, where the rooms are spacious, with stylish modern furniture. They face away from the road and were very quiet at night. The beds were comfortable, everything was spotless, and the pool and pool area were clean too. The location is pleasant, among vineyards in typical Provence-style scenery, though it is really Cote d'Azure. The welcome on arrival was lovely.

Briglia and her husband were so welcoming and friendly, and I was sorry to leave. It was a really relaxing place to stay, and I loved it. The wine and breakfast were delicious. Just be aware that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, though they'll give you a list of nearby dining options. I hope to visit again someday, thank you!

The food was the real highlight, some of the best we’ve ever had, thanks to the very talented chef team. Rocco and Frederica made us feel so welcome, too. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed lots of lovely meals. La Mas Du Lingusto is a gem, and we’ll be back. Merci beaucoup to the team :)
