We were returning after visiting years ago with my late Father, so it was upsetting to be treated so rudely by the lady at reception. Because of her attitude, we booked somewhere else.

They say they speak Spanish, but when we were there they didn't, and they didn't speak English either. Ordering was difficult even when we tried our bad French. They ordered for us without considering what we wanted: they brought Coca-Cola when we wanted water, and after taking it away, didn't bring more water. Then they chose steak for everyone without asking how we wanted it cooked, though some of us wanted fish. The rest was fine.

We stopped for dinner without knowing what to expect, and I'm glad we did. The traditional French food was superb, made well and carefully presented, and even the picky eaters in our group left full and happy. The warm, welcoming atmosphere came with a roaring log fire. The set menus were especially nice and good value, and I can easily recommend the house red. I'll be back, and can't wait to see what they serve for lunch.

12th Sep 2020. The cheese cart was a treat! We had lunch with friends at this magnificent restaurant, with high-quality traditional French food. The waitress was professional throughout. As Cristina Cordula says, c'est magnifaïk !!!

Out in the countryside, this is a beautiful restaurant. The food was incredible, and the staff were polite and helpful with our group, who couldn't speak French. Make sure to stop here!
