My first visit, but I’ll definitely be back. It’s a charming little hotel right by the River Marne, with lovely staff and very fair prices. Paris is about 45 minutes away and Disneyland about 30.

Google reviews won’t let me respond to your very unprofessional reply, so I’m posting again. Your hostile tone and personal insults over a guest pointing out verifiable facts say a lot about how this establishment handles criticism. Rather than sort out a straightforward payment issue, you denied it and escalated things. For clarity, my bank confirms the pre-authorisation is still blocked today. I emailed once a week, which is hardly “countless”; it happened because you stayed silent. Reporting an ongoing financial hold isn’t “revenge”, it’s factual. Your defensiveness and refusal to deal with a basic administrative error only back up what I said before. Honestly, after that reaction to a simple truth, you deserve zero stars.

The main dishes were the best part. Both the Saint Jacques and fish were great, and the kids liked their fish, chicken and side of purée. We also enjoyed the wines by the glass, Château la Bessane Margaux and Château La Négly “Le Cote” Languedoc, which paired well with the mains. The setting is simple, classic, nice and quiet. The staff were friendly, though their English wasn’t great, and we managed. Service felt a little slow with two kids at the table, but it was okay. Most of the amuse-bouches and starters weren’t really to our taste, though the dried green pea soup was pretty good. We weren’t keen on the desserts either, the pear and blackcurrant lacked a bit of flavor and sweetness. The restaurant does solid classic meals, but I think the starters and desserts could be better.

We drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant, but left feeling like we were begging for food. We arrived on time for our 12:45 reservation. A family of three was waiting, my husband and I were next, and then another couple arrived. After about 15 minutes, while the concierge rang the bell several times for the waiters, someone finally came out. They seated the newest couple first, then the family, then us. By the time we got a table and menus, it was 13:05. We ordered the tasting menu straight away. A chubby woman told us it couldn’t be ordered after 13:00. We explained we’d been there since 12:45 and the delay wasn’t our fault. She replied arrogantly, “sorry, NO.” A man in a suit also came over and said, “No, sorry,” making us feel as if we should just leave. With that rude attitude, we got up and left at 13:09. We didn’t want to spend another second or a cent there. The photo shows the concierge and the woman. We’ve been to many star restaurants, and this place isn’t qualified in our view. There was no service or apology, and we’d never recommend spending money here. It doesn’t deserve any stars or to be on the star app. Judging by the other reviews, this seems to be normal behavior toward customers.
