Someone called us a few days before the trip to see if we had questions, which impressed us. Reception lends out games and sports gear for free, and most activities didn't cost anything. The pools got busy during the school holidays, but it was fine. The location made it easy to get to lots of places, with a good supermarket nearby and a vet across the road if you're travelling with pets. We stayed in the three-bedroom bungalow. It was very spacious, with full-size bedrooms and a great living area. The bathrooms felt a little dated, and the kitchen was on the small side.

The pool was a real highlight, with a shallow section for kids, a whirlpool, and an outdoor area. It was a bit too cold for me outside, but my family loved it. There’s a sauna area with warm showers too, a nice surprise since the regular poolside showers are cold. We had supper at the restaurant during a very busy spell. The staff kindly let us reserve a table. The food was tasty and enjoyable, nothing fancy, and the kids were happy with their meals. The on-site shop is expensive, so bigger supermarkets about 10-15 minutes away are a much cheaper option. The park is beautiful and spacious, in a picturesque area with lovely villages we enjoyed visiting. It’s hilly, so with small children you’ll probably want a car or at least a stroller. I was pregnant and found the slopes a bit of a challenge, though the scenery and calm atmosphere made up for it. Our stay was short, so we didn’t get to the animation programs or playgrounds. We still had a wonderful family visit and would consider coming back.

I had a poor experience trying to get details for booking two houses beside each other. They put me on hold, and after ten minutes I hung up because it was an expensive international call. I called again 20 minutes later to check whether they had the information, explaining that I was the person who had called earlier. They simply hung up on me. I tried once more and got stuck listening to elevator music. Maybe they have plenty of bookings already.

A simple family holiday, nothing fancy, which suited us. We had demi pension, with breakfast and dinner, and the apartments have kitchens if you'd rather cook. Parking was included, and the kids had a great time with the animation and kids club.

The village felt charming and authentically Norman, tucked among the trees, and the service was friendly. It was quiet during the weekdays, and I loved my 11-day stay. Its central location means both small and large villages are about a 15-20 minute drive away. The restaurant was decent, a handy fallback for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The pools were fine, especially for younger kids, and there were quite a few sports facilities.
