ibis Belfort Danjoutin

The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, much better than the usual ibis standard. The hotel is handy for the highway, and there’s a fast charging station in the free parking area. The building and rooms are a bit worn and could clearly use a renovation, though everything worked.

The best part for me was the lack of waste at breakfast. Apart from a napkin, there was no waste at all, no wrappers for butter, tea bags, or cookies. Bed and towel cleaning is by request, which is a big plus. The room was spacious, with a good bed and shower, though it had no locker or fridge. The hotel isn't near Belfort centre, but it's easy to get to from the highway. It's affordable and offers very good value, even if it's not brand new and doesn't have everything you might need.

The room met the usual Accor Ibis standard, but the bathroom looked a little worn. Paint was flaking around the doors and part of the shower surround was damaged. I wasn't offered a welcome drink voucher, and nobody mentioned my membership. I'm not sure whether the chain has stopped offering that since my last stay.

The room and bathroom were old, and the room smelled musty, as did almost the whole hotel. It really needs renovating, though it was very clean. We only stayed one night to visit the rock festival. It felt expensive for what was provided, but breakfast was a pleasant surprise.
