Ibis Styles Dax Center

The riverside setting was lovely, though the nearby casino played loud music late into the night. The room was small and quite dated, but fine for an overnight stay. Our family of three found the sofa bed unset and difficult to open; it seemed unused for a long time, and even someone from reception struggled with it. The toilet and shower were in separate rooms, which felt less hygienic since you have to open doors before washing your hands. I've come across that arrangement at other places in France too. There isn't hotel parking. We were fortunate to arrive and leave when street parking was free, but finding an open spot was still difficult. Breakfast was adequate rather than impressive, with fantastic bread but not much choice. For the price it was acceptable, though lower quality than other IBIS hotels.

A dedicated parking area would have been useful. The reception staff were welcoming, and everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Nice hotel.

There was plenty of space in the outdoor parking area. The hotel itself is good, although breakfast was only average. The elevators date from 1974 and are still going strong.

We only stayed one night with our dog while moving from the UK to Spain, and the place worked very well for us. Chanzy parking has barriers, which gave us a bit of reassurance. The room was comfortable, and the staff were really helpful. They even filled our water bottles in the morning, and we took away pastries and coffee for breakfast. I took a star off because the bathroom had an odd smell, maybe cigarettes or something from the nearby pool. We didn't mention it to the staff since we were there just one night.
