Whether a reservation gets accepted seems to depend on the secretary, Cathy. One time it's yes, the next it's no. I found that a blatant lack of professionalism, and also sent management a letter about this unpleasant person's conduct.

I was very disappointed. The one-bedroom apartment cost over 800 euros, yet it was sparsely furnished, the bed was uncomfortable, and the furniture was dated. Residents have no shared space except two freezing lounges without books or board games, plus a Scrabble set at reception. I'll stay somewhere else next year.

For €60, I found the studio clean, well equipped, and spacious enough for one or two people. It's clearly not new, but everything works. Prices may change during the busy spa season, so you'll have to judge whether it suits you then. It's also relatively close to Dax train station, and the closest option in this price range.

The studio was comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, and in this heat the good air conditioning was essential. A couple of small things could be better: there was no soap dish at either the sink or shower, and the kitchen had just one oven-safe dish but two huge salad bowls. A medium and a small bowl would make more sense. Still, I had an excellent stay.
