Kopster Hotel Lyon Groupama Stadium

The location is great, and the restaurant waiters were kind and professional. The room could have been cleaner, since there were spots on the floor. Parking prices change depending on events in the city, and management could show more understanding and goodwill, especially in how customers are spoken to.

The breakfast had loads of options and was seriously good, and everyone on staff was incredibly friendly. KOPSTER Hotel felt super clean, with really cool, modern decor. We had a really nice time and I’d recommend it.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was good quality. We enjoyed the pizzas for a quick bite too. It’s right beside Olympic Lyon’s football stadium and the LDLC arena, the concert venue. The rooms are a good size and the beds quite comfortable. I’d definitely stay here again when I’m in Lyon.

I wouldn’t stay here again. If you’re going to an event at the stadium or arena and want to walk to the venue, the location works. But there’s not much around the hotel. The nearest grocery store, a Lidl, is about a 35-minute walk, and there’s only one restaurant around five minutes away. Basically, you’re here for the location. The place sells all the merch and has a sort of boutique vibe, but feels pretty bare bones. Breakfast and the bar were decent, and the staff were friendly, though not very attentive. The bed was very soft. I prefer more support, so I woke up with back pain, though that’s subjective. The shower drain was too slow, so I had to keep showers under five minutes to avoid flooding the bathroom. I told staff, and they said they’d look into it, but nothing changed during the week I was there. My scores: room 2, Wi-Fi 3, staff 3, amenities 2, location 2, gym N/A, vibe 3, walkability 1. Average 2.29, rounded to 2 stars. These are honest impressions compared with other hotels in the same price range around the world. I’m not looking to provide more feedback or seeking compensation or rewards.
