Breakfast was good, with homemade items, but the stay was very disappointing and expensive for what was offered. The photos showed a chest of drawers, yet it was filled with the owner's things and couldn't be used. In the bedroom there was no river view, only a small glimpse from a separate hallway area, and storage was limited to a few wall hooks with hangers. The bathroom was on another floor and shared a corridor with other rooms. A curtain was the only thing separating it, there wasn't a door. The so-called waterfall shower was just a standard handheld shower, and the plastic curtain stuck to us while we used it. The description of the “superior room with river view and sauna” gave us the wrong impression, and the room and facilities fell well short of what the description and photos led us to expect.

That little start-of-winter getaway was such a treat. At Carole's, we had a lovely room with beautiful decor, enjoyed a very pleasant sauna and Nordic bath, and ate a delicious, original dinner. Carole was warm and welcoming, and breakfast was generous, with quality products. The peaceful, beautiful surroundings must feel magical in spring or summer.

The Loire view was breathtaking, and the sauna and Norwegian bath were such welcome extras. We had a lovely time chatting with Carole, and the brunch was delicious. The rooms are beautifully decorated, too. Staying at Ô bord de Loire felt like stepping out of time. Thank you so much!
