La Grange du Bourg

Françoise had even set up a secure spot for our bikes, which was so thoughtful. We also really enjoyed eating in the inviting garden, and playing with and cuddling Pampa, the adorable Labrador. The room was spacious, clean, and nicely laid out, with plenty of storage and a modern bathroom where the shower and toilet were separate. There’s a well-equipped kitchen available too. Françoise was a perfect host, welcoming us warmly, cooking well, giving us space, and suggesting places to visit. We stayed three nights at la Grange du Bourg, a handy base for Montluçon, Néris les Bains, Hérisson, and the rolling countryside.

We’d be very happy to come back. It’s a peaceful bed and breakfast, and we were welcomed so warmly. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The table d’hôtes was a real highlight, with delicious food and a very generous breakfast. The hostess took great care to make sure our stay went well. The rooms are spacious and pleasant, with fully equipped bathrooms, and everything is very well maintained. It’s a very nice guesthouse for a quick night or a longer visit. Being near the highway makes it convenient for a stopover. Don’t miss it!

That welcome was the best part, honestly 😍 Thank you so much, and for the...t too 🙏 The place itself is lovely and quiet, with a beautiful garden. We could park the car on the property, and the nicely decorated house has all the amenities that make things easy. The bed was really comfortable.
