The caring attention from Nicolas & team really made the stay. We loved having an outdoor kitchen on the private patio, roomy rooms, a superb pool and a fine restaurant. It's also handy for places like the reserve Cousteau and the jardin botanic. What a great hotel in a beautiful part of Guadeloupe, la Cote sous le vent. Magnifique!!! Merci Bien! We'll come back if we can.

The restaurant was amazing, and Stephanie was the best host you could imagine. We also really liked the pool area and its view. The owners took over in 2022 and have been renovating a lot since then. You can see how much love and passion they put into this nice place. The rooms are a little outdated, but the kitchen and bathrooms are due for refurbishment soon. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

This small hotel has a relaxed feel and never seemed crowded or noisy. It's on Basse-Terre, the less populated of Guadeloupe's two islands, near Deshaies. There are restaurants and hotels around, but no huge resorts or giant cruise ships. It's a good fit if you prefer quiet. Nearby you can visit beaches, go snorkeling, see the fantastic botanical garden, hike in a national park, or take a ferry to one of the smaller islands if you have time. The airport is an hour away, as are the beaches on Grande-Terre. The property is lovely and carefully maintained, with a tropical garden and a swimming pool so nice that sometimes you may not feel like making the three-minute walk to the beach. Leroux Beach is just across the road, and Grande Anse is a much bigger beach, 12 minutes away by car. The hotel is close to Deshaies, pronounced 'Dee'. There are 14 rooms in two buildings, all with their own entrance, a terrace or balcony, an ocean view and an outdoor kitchen, which works well in this climate. Even with neighbors beside or above you, you don't see them much and it feels private. The single-storey bungalows above the pool are separated from each other and offer more privacy, though they're slightly smaller. They're especially suitable if you don't have children. You can have breakfast served on the main building's reception terrace, or make your own and eat on your private terrace. There's a good boulangerie in Deshaies. The owners are friendly and responsive, and can suggest nearby attractions.

The beach is great and just a two-minute walk away. The place is nice too. The kitchen was still being built, so we got dinner at restaurants nearby. Breakfast was really good, and hopefully the restaurant will be just as good once it's finished.
