The villa/apartment is at the end of Ferry, down a rather adventurous road, and the cul-de-sac is quiet. But describing it as being on the beach is misleading. The shoreline is barely a beach, the stones are too big, and there’s no access or boat dock. The rest was fine, though the pool could probably be cleaned more often. The bedrooms have air conditioning, but the large living room doesn’t. The extractor fan only recirculates air, and the oven door currently won’t close. Getting problems resolved was rather reluctant and in typical Caribbean fashion, unfortunately.

With its lush garden full of flowers, fruit, and birds, this villa feels like a real slice of paradise. The owners are lovely, and the view is breathtaking. It truly lives up to its name!

Marc welcomed us like family, shared tips for exploring Guadeloupe, and even offered fruit from his garden. The rooms were very comfortable, with air conditioning, sea views, and stunning sunsets. We spent a great week exploring Basse-Terre, and the pool was just the thing for cooling off. I’ll definitely be back.

The birds are used to people and will come right up to you. The view is magnificent and the garden peaceful. The private beach is pebbly, but the fish are beautiful.
