The activities suited our students' age range, and they came away having learned lots of French. The staff were incredibly accommodating, and the food was excellent. We had a fantastic stay at the Moulin. After more than 30 years of taking students abroad, this may be one of the best trips I’ve taken.

We were in the newly refurbished part of the hotel, and the rooms were immaculate, with soft, clean bed linen. The bathrooms were modern and clean too, with showers so powerful they beat mine at home. The hotel sits in beautiful French countryside, and the friendly, accommodating staff made our trip with 40 year 7 students a fantastic experience.
Bathrooms were quite decent, clean, and had good water pressure and temperature. The rest of the stay was one of the worst places I’ve had to stay on a school trip. The rooms were cramped and unbearably warm, with no way to cool them down, though the bathroom heating could be increased. Insects were all over the walls and ceiling as soon as we arrived, and my friends ended up with around 5 to 7 bed bugs over a day. The state of the rooms was ridiculous. The meals were horrendous. The restaurant felt extremely unhygienic, with flies hovering around at every meal. Breakfast was fine, with bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, cereal, yogurt, fruit, orange juice, and hot chocolate. But people said the water tasted bad, and many spotted small insects in their cups. We had to bring our own bottles and refill them at the bathroom sink, with no separate drinking water spot. Dinner was a poor mix of food: tomatoes with badly cooked sweetcorn, slightly hard rice, stale spaghetti reheated, and very average lasagna. Bread and dessert were the best parts. The lunches we took off premises weren't very inclusive either. Everyone got rolls with things like unwashed lettuce and ham or cheese, but the vegetarian students at my school got only lettuce and butter. We also got apple-flavored baby food, crisps, and biscuits, but no drink. The entertainment was terrible throughout the trip.
The trip was my first time out of the country, and France itself was lovely, but returning to the hotel ruined everyone's mood. We stayed from December 9th till December 11th, and I don’t know how I survived. The room was cramped, with two bunk beds and one regular bed all under a diagonal curved ceiling. People kept banging their heads and waking up bruised. Bed bugs were visible on the beds, and the plates, cups, and cutlery had stains. My window wouldn’t close and stayed wide open all night, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, there were no fire alarms in the rooms, and some lights flickered. The stairs curve round, and the light above them was broken, so lots of people slipped and fell. The food was so bad that my friend and I only ate when we went to the Christmas market. Many people who did eat at the hotel were sick the next day. Service was terrible, and the main woman working there was rude and disrespectful to the children. We had to leave our phones face down on the table at meals, and if a parent messaged, we weren't allowed to open it. There was no service either, so hardly anyone could contact their parents to tell them how awful the place was. One kid had an allergic reaction even though the hotel knew about the allergy and did nothing to prevent it. He had to go get his own EPI Pen. Short version, don’t go. Nothing about the hotel was good. And I mean nothing.
DON'T GO HERE! It's dirty outside and feels quite dangerous, and the place absolutely stinks. The food is disgusting and the rooms are far too cramped. I've heard there were bugs in other people's rooms. The bathroom locks don't work, the windows are broken, and the curtains are half off the wall.
