Domaine Du Murier

We had a great stay with our tent. The pitches are spacious, even the one we shared with another party had plenty of room. The owner and his family were incredibly kind, and their Wednesday dinner on the terrace was delicious. There was a minor electricity problem that wasn't the campsite's fault, but they still put on a lovely meal. The facilities are decent, though some updating would improve them. We really enjoyed our time here, thank you!

The pitches are enormous, and every one has at least a bit of shade, though some get more than others. We cooled off in the river and enjoyed the nightly meal and the bar terrace for socializing. Thierry knows a lot about cycling, running, and motorbike routes, and speaks English very well. Check the map before you arrive so you find the right access road. We accidentally took a walking track. The proper entrance is near the railway station, but the road isn't suitable for large motorhomes. We hated having to leave.

We've come back for seven years now. Die is a liberal town, and the setting is beautiful. The people are very kind, and this year the sanitary facilities were completely renovated, which is a big achievement.

We'd love to return. The large pitches offer privacy and sit close to the Drôme river. The table d'hôte is tasty and inexpensive, and the pizza is good too. My only suggestion is to clean the sanitary facilities more often.
