Hotel de l'Europe

The stay was nice enough. Everything worked, and the staff were friendly, but our room felt pretty outdated and could've been cleaner. Breakfast was sufficient. The coffee was good, though there weren't many healthy choices and there were lots of pastries. The croissants and pain au chocolat were really big ;)

We've stayed here four times this year since moving to France, and the owners make each visit terrific. They're a joy to know. The rooms have been renovated, are clean, and all have a water view. There's now a bar and a very large dining room too. The buffet breakfast includes eggs, breads, rolls, cakes, fruit, cold cuts, and cheese. The view is amazing, and the big windows let in an ocean breeze. There's no air conditioning, but that's common in seaside hotels in France, and the breeze cools the room. It's two blocks from the harbor street into town. We've always had a great stay here. I'd call it a four-star hotel with wonderful attitude and service.

Vanessa and Gabriel were kind, caring, and made sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious and comfortable, simple but nice, and everything worked. We had a lovely sea view, and the hotel was quiet during our May stay. I don't see why that would change in high season. Some people have complained about the Wi-Fi, but it's been upgraded and worked just fine for us. Vanessa makes the breakfast cakes herself, and they're superb. For the price, it's simply unbeatable. The whole stay was a pleasure.

We arrived late in the evening on our bikes, on the way to the ferry. The owner was at the front desk, welcomed us exceptionally warmly, and helped us store the bikes. Our room was large, with stunning views, and the beds looked like queens. Highly recommend!
